Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County is a Family Strenghtneing Annie E. Casey Foundation Award Recipient!  Congratuations and thank you to all parents and partners in Chaffee County!

What is Family PLUS?  With a grant from Kimberly-Clark Foundation, each Branch offers family outreach initiatives.  These include best practices for reaching, supporting, and empowering families to fully participate in their children's lives.  Monthly family nights, parent education classes, public health insurance outreach and special family events will be held at both Clubs throughout the year.  Check with your local Club for details on upcoming events and check out the  Family PLUS website for TONS of materials!
 
 
Buena Vista Branch Family Event Information: 
       
     1)  August:  Back To School Ice Cream Social -  Wed, August 25th, 5- 6:30pm at the River Park Pavilion (by the baseball/soccer fields).   Membership registration, hot dogs, fruit, ice cream, CHP+ information, fun and games!  For the whole family!  Click HERE to see the flyer
 
     2)  New mother daughter program for TEENS! Money Matters for females (12 - 18 years) and their mother or other female adult.  Teen mothers and expecting teen mothers welcome too!  Each graduating teen will receive a special cash incentive!  Dinner provided.

     1)  August 31 - Tuesday - Messy Family Night!  5 - 6pm  EVEN MESSIER!!!!!

The CHAFFEE PEOPLE'S CLINIC provides medical services for the those who have NO insurance.  Here's some information or you can contact them.
We do not do sports physicals, but do see children for acute problems (if they do not have insurance).  We don't do women's annual exams/paps, but can refer patients to a couple of different programs.
