ABOUT US
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County was established in late 2005. The Club was formed in Salida for elementary and middle school age youth as a result of a merger of two existing programs and an identified need throughout the County for after school programs. A site was added in Buena Vista in 2007 to address the need for after school programs, especially among the elementary school children. How do we accomplish our mission?
More than an after-school hangout, the Clubs
are places where young people come to develop character, to learn the
importance of education, develop social skills and new friends, engage
in healthy habits and lifestyles, express themselves creatively in art
and music, and participate in sports, recreation and leisure activities.
